The Air-borne Toxin Keeping You Stuck

Mold Produces Mycotoxins
One of the most common substances that drains your performance is mold. Mold is primarily found in damp or humid environments and grows on various types of food.
Mold produces naturally occurring toxic compounds, called mycotoxins, that pollute the air. Mycotoxins are one of the most toxic substances for humans. It can be hard to determine if there are mycotoxins in your environment as most species of mold can’t be seen with the naked eye.
Mycotoxins Are Harmful to Your Brain and Nervous System
Mycotoxins cause many adverse health problems to people and animals. One of the biggest issues stems from the fact that they inhibit or disarm a portion of the nervous system. Mycotoxins also decrease blood flow to the frontal lobe of your brain. This is the area of the brain that is responsible for focus and logic. Exposure to mycotoxins will cause you to experience decision fatigue much quicker than normal. Mycotoxins cause brain inflammation in a couple of different ways. They activate mast cells in the immune system that release cytokines. This triggers an inflammatory response that causes damage. They also make the blood-brain barrier leaky, leading to more inflammation.
Mold exposure also blocks neuroplasticity in the brain. This will prevent you from being able to develop new pathways, form new habits, or make changes to your nervous system. This means you won’t be able to develop better patterns with therapy or counseling until you deal with the mold. Brain scans of patients with multiple sclerosis were found to be nearly indistinguishable from brain scans of patients with mold toxicity exposure. A patient with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis was later found to have mycotoxin levels off the chart. Six months after this discovery, the patient no longer had an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. 95% of sinus infections are related to mold. The antibiotics and steroids they typically give to treat the sinus infection are like throwing fuel on the fire of mold toxicity.
Mold exposure will make you have a hard time remembering things and focusing at work. Other symptoms include chronic fatigue, depression, immune deficiencies, and cancer.
EMF Radiation Causes Mold to Produce More Mycotoxins
EMF is electromagnetic radiation released by technological devices such as wi-fi routers and mobile phones. Mold produces 600 times more mycotoxins when exposed to EMF radiation.
Treatment for Mold Exposure
You don’t have to accept the adverse effects that mold has on your body. A lot can be done to improve your health once you discover you have had these mold exposures. Mold has to be corrected at the physical level. There are different mycotoxin tests you can do. The most common form of testing is by urinary analysis. Taking a test that utilizes methods for provoking the mycotoxins will yield a more accurate assessment. Treatments such as glutathione push can help the detoxification process in your body. There are also different compounded prescriptions and nasal sprays that will help.
Get Rid of Mold In your Environment & Keep It Away
A humid climate can lead to off-the-chart mycotoxin levels in the air. But a poorly constructed building in a dry environment, such as the desert, can also lead to mold production. Buildings that had the framework left out in the rain during construction can also lead to mold build-up. There are many companies out there looking to take advantage of people in terms of remediating their mold. The worst thing you can do is have mold remediated with whatever substance, then not make the appropriate changes to humidity levels and environmental structure.
It’s essential to get rid of mold in the appropriate way and keep it away. Humidity levels should not be kept any higher than 50%. A quality air purifier, such as the Air Doctor, can also help keep mycotoxins at bay. You also can call on the help of your local reputable mold inspection company to ensure your environment is free of toxins. If you are more of a do-it-yourself type, you can buy mold detector test kits to determine if you are being exposed. There is also a product called EM2, a biodegradable enzyme that is basically like a Pac man for mycotoxins. It is more effective than other methods because mold releases dead mycotoxins when it is killed. These dead mycotoxins are still immunogenic.
Mycotoxins have a profound impact on your performance because of their effect on your mitochondria, the powerhouse of the cell, where energy is created. This impedes energy production in the cells. Your recovery time from work or physical activity will take longer because of the lack of energy being made and stored in the mitochondria. It is crucial to ensure you aren’t breathing in mycotoxins in the places where you spend most of your time. Studies have shown that indoor air quality is ten times more polluted than outdoor air on average. So it is vital to ensure you are taking the appropriate steps to distance yourself from this toxin.
